£50,000-£60,000 plus package & competitive commission

I am searching for a self-motivated entrepreneurial individual who has strong contacts within key accounts of food service distribution and used to identifying opportunities with customers.

The right individual will be my clients New National Business Development Manager whose key role and focus will be to introduce new accounts and must have strong and existing relationships within the industry. 

You will able open doors with new national accounts in food logistics to achieve the agreed company financial objectives, maximise new sales growth opportunities and retain the large accounts. In addition, you will provide guidance and support to the further sales team as part of the management team.

The role:

  • Deliver sales plan, providing opportunities to bid for and win major contracts with significant scale via the team and own efforts
  • Reporting to and working closely with the Sales Director, this role is to lead and develop the company’s national account activity, ensuring effective leadership, existing account management and new business growth
  • Emphasis on ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning is also essential
  • Work alongside the management team in areas of operations, marketing and product & service offering to achieve the corporate business plan

The candidate:

  • Minimum of 3-5 successful years’ sales experience in a similar role
  • Drive, determination and commitment to get things done
  • Confident, with a high level of self-motivation, possessing the ability to work to own initiative and possessing a hands-on attitude
  • Ability to work well with others, network and build relationships and to have a strong impact on performance within the organisation
  • Track record of new business attainment and constantly hitting new business targets
