  • Communicate the company spirit, culture and philosophy within the organization
  • Responsible for the day to day activities of all HR related issues within the organization
  • Guiding the HR Team
  • Responsible for recruiting needs for all units, improve hiring process according to company’s need, culture and philosophy, including selection, interviews, etc.
  • Ensure productive, motivating and enjoyable working environment for all employees
  • Communicate the respective employment policies and procedures and labor relations policy
  • Liaison with senior management for HR issues
  • Maintain current knowledge of NYS and federal legislation and regulations to monitor and ensure compliance
  • Administer, coordinate and make recommendations on disciplinary matters and adherence, where necessary, to progressive discipline initiatives
  • Monitor HR compliance with and costs associated with all employment related matters (e.g. uniforms, payroll administration, hiring costs, benefits plan, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation etc.)
  • Administer HR databases (e.g. head count, vacancy list, time sheets, etc.)
  • Maintain employee files updated
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to guarantee improvements and efficiency of the department and services


  • At least 10 years working experience in HR functions for a workforce of 500+ employees in the high end field - ideally hospitality / service industry
  • Experience within union environment
  • Passion for working with individuals of different cultures, experiences and working fields
  • Working experience in HR related in other functions such as (e.g., workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, etc.)
  • Team leadership, conflict resolution, employment law, general reporting and administrative writing skills a must
  • PC literate in MS office, ADP payroll software, E-time time keeping and other HR information systems
  • Proactive personality with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Passion for organising and structuring
  • Hands on Approach to the organization needs
  • Highly result orientated
  • High level of self-organisation
